The Grace in Grateful...A November Retreat

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” Oprah Winfrey

This is essential to the vitality of a marriage. It is always easy to find displeasing qualities and behaviors in your partner. Yet, to focus on those pieces of a person that captivated you—allowing those traits to draw you into the intimate presence of your lover—is elegantly kind and wise. Weaving a ‘together we’ tapestry requires reflecting upon one’s own unsavory bits, dropping the attitude that creates displeasure, and moving towards the heart of your soul mate in both strength and tenderness. Should you dare, you may find yourself simultaneously timid and awestruck by what is called out in you.

November 16-18, 2018 Inner Sanctum Retreat, for me, was bittersweet. As, yet again, I was taken aback by the couples’ tenacity in their investment in one another, I was also keenly aware of some of my shortcomings (as the facilitator), which required in me a ‘rise-up no matter what’ attitude. I realigned my vision with my resolve. Elon Musk aptly spurs me on, “When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.”

My vision is to dramatically impact the quality of marriages and to pioneer an intimate approach with a cache of couples (quarterly) who are daring and eager to deepen and embody emotional—sexual—spiritual—relational intimacy, leading to transformation that is both self-evident and contagious!

The next Inner Sanctum Retreat is March 8-10, 2019. ,
